Chief Reynolds came to the Huntsville Police Department in 1974 at the age of fifteen as a Police Ranger.  Chief Reynolds began employment with the Huntsville Police Department in 1980 as a patrol officer and came through the ranks filling various specialized assignments until he was appointed Chief of Police in 2004. In February 2007, he was appointed Director of Public Safety.
