Mission Statement
The mission of the Huntsville Police Department is to protect life and property, preserve the constitutional rights of every citizen, and vigorously enforce the laws of the United States of America and the State of Alabama. Members of the department shall strive to accomplish this mission within the constraints of the law, with respect for human dignity, and in accordance with the highest standards of performance and accountability.

Goal Statement
The goal of the Huntsville Police Department is to accomplish its mission consistently by responding to the needs of the community with police services that are efficient and effective on the one hand and fair and equitable on the other. Members shall endeavor to achieve this goal by establishing crime and service-related priorities that are met with challenging, innovative and realistic strategies.
