Projects and Improvements
The City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering Division is continually working to make improvements
to the existing transportation infrastructure. The following is a list of projects and improvements
that Traffic Engineering will be responsible for overseeing:
- Traffic Engineering has developed a 10-year plan to replace all traffic signals in the City Limits with
LED (light-emitting diode) bulbs. LED signals are more visible and more energy efficient. Similarly, all crosswalk signals are being replaced with LEDs.
Several other projects and improvements are in the early stages or pre-design stages. Please check back with
