Projects and Improvements
The City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering Division is continually working to make improvements
to the existing transportation infrastructure. The following is a list of projects and improvements
that Traffic Engineering will be responsible for overseeing:
- Using Federal Stimulus money, Traffic Engineering has begun to change all red and green incandescent bulbs to LEDs at all intersections.
- Traffic Engineering crews completed the installation of the traffic signal at Whitesburg Dr and Teakwood Dr during the week of April 12, 2010. The signal began functioning at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 20.
Several other projects and improvements are in the early stages or pre-design stages. Please check back with
