DAILY AIR QUALITY AND POLLEN DATA
September 1, 2010
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
*The Air Quality Index incorporates into a single index maximum concentrations of five criteria pollutants: ozone (1 and 8 hour averages), particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. In Huntsville, ozone and fine particulate are the pollutants of principal concern. The scale of the index (0 - 500) is divided into general categories that are associated with health messages.
**AQI values for fine particulate matter (PM2.5) are based on continuous monitoring data, rather than a Federal Reference Method (FRM). FRM data are more accurate, but are not available within 24-hours.
