PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Councilman Mark Russell will hold a public meeting May 5, 2008, 6:00 pm at Blossomwood Elementary School to go over the Governor’s Drive and Big Cove road projects. There will be people from the City to answer any questions you may have. Any questions you may have beforehand, you may contact Carol Jones in the City Council office at 427-5020.

Mark Russell, moved to Huntsville with his parents in 1973. He attended Jones Valley Elementary School, Whitesburg Middle School and Huntsville High. Mark graduated from Auburn University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

After graduation, Mark has held various positions in the electronics and defense industries and now is a Vice President of Kord C3I, a locally owned government contractor.

As a father with two young children, Mark has worked hard to see that all children in our community have an opportunity to reach their full potential. He has served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club since 1996 and was the Chairman of the Board for a three-year period from 1999-2001. [COMPLETE BIO]
