Partnership Celebrates 20 Years Assisting Youth in the Fight against Substance Abuse

 

Huntsville, Alabama (October 25, 2007) Partnership for Drug-Free Community will celebrate its 20th Anniversary this Thursday, October 25, 2007. In recognition of fighting substance abuse and educating students of its perils, Executive Director Deborah Soule and its board of directors will recognize public safety officers for their contributions to the community. The board consists of public safety officials, educators, health care providers and community leaders.

 

In honor of this important relationship, each year Partnership commends outstanding members of the coalition at its annual board meeting. This year’s awards and winners are:

 

HPD’s Third Annual Daniel Golden Recognition Award- Officer James Rushbrook.

HPD’s Outstanding Law Enforcement Award – STAC Team Investigator Brian Hudson.  

MCSD’s Outstanding Law Enforcement Award – Investigator Scott Bishop.

MCDA’s Outstanding Law Enforcement Award – Investigator Kevin Turner.

Neaves-Davis Juvenile Center’s Outstanding Juvenile Probation Award – Dixie Torbet.

Partnership’s The Spirit of Partnership Award – Dr. Kitson Francis.
