Elks Lodge #1648 Sponsors Fallen Officers’ Memorial Motorcycle Run

 

Huntsville, Alabama (May 9, 2008) On Saturday, May 10, 2008, the Elks Lodge 1648 will raise money for the Huntsville Police Fallen Officers’ Memorial. The event will be held at 725 Franklin Street. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and motorcycle rides will run from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost for riders’ participation is $15.00 and passengers will pay a fee of $10.00. All proceeds will be donated to the Huntsville Police Citizens Foundation which is building a Memorial at 815 Wheeler Avenue in front of the Huntsville Department of Public Safety.

 

Johnson said prizes will be awarded for: Best Hand, Worst Hand, Oldest Rider, Largest Club and Farthest Distance Traveled. Food, drinks and door prizes will also be provided. Finally, The Foundation will sell Fallen Officers’ Memorial T-shirts for $15.00 each to raise money for the Memorial.
