 Department of Public Safety Commemorative Book
 

Huntsville, Alabama (July 7, 2008) The City of Huntsville Department of Public Safety announces the publication of a Commemorative Book.  This Commemorative Book embraces the growth of the City of Huntsville by documenting events and progress as we transition from individual Police, Fire, and Animal Services Departments to one unified Department of Public Safety.  The book will include individual employee photos, department histories, specialized units and recognitions a well as Dedication and Business Advertising.  Committee Members will begin accepting purchases of personal dedications after July 1^st .  Business advertising will be available for purchase after September 1^st. 

The Commemorative Book Committee asks for the public’s assistance by providing copies of any photos, documents, etc to aide in the research and documentation of history for Police, Fire, and Animal Services Departments.  Information may be submitted to:  Department of Public Safety, Attention: Commemorative Book Committee, 815 Wheeler AV, Huntsville, AL  35801.  Information submitted may not be used in the Commemorative Book but will be used on the Department of Public Safety website as well as Huntsville Police, Fire, and Animal Services websites.   For further information, you may call the Department of Public Safety at 427-7138.
