Provide a comprehensive overview of our existing public safety services in an effort to maximize our service to the public.

pProvide logistical planning, research, and command structure support to the Police, Fire, and Animal Services.
 
l
lConduct budget planning, evaluate capital assets, and assess future capital needs for public safety.
 
lImplement standardization of directives, procedures, policies, and the administration of disciplinary procedures.
 
l
lImplement a standardization of recruitment, hiring, training, and promotions where applicable.
 
l
lEnsure the ability of the Public Safety Agency to remain competitive in the workforce to recruit, hire, and retain qualified employees.
 
lIncrease awareness of public safety services programs to the public, the Mayor, and political leaders.
 
l
lProvide liaisons with community leaders, and serve on boards that interface or work in conjunction with the Public Safety Agency.
 
l
lCoordinate the implementation of a Unified Command on incident scenes that require multiple public safety services.
 
l
lProvide administrative oversight in the identification, application, and implementation of Federal and State grants.
