Huntsville Fire & Rescue Promotes Second Deputy Chief

 

Huntsville, Alabama (May 2, 2008) Huntsville Fire and Rescue Chief Danny Loggins has filled a new Deputy Chief of Operations position with a 24-year veteran of the Department. During a Friday morning ceremony at 8:30 in the Public Safety Training Room, Howard McFarlen was promoted from a pool of well qualified applicants said Loggins. He added, “With Deputy Chief McFarlen commanding the operations side of the house, joining Administrative Deputy Chief Mike Sublett, we have enhanced our capabilities to improve operations and communications throughout the chain of command.”

 

Public Safety Director Rex Reynolds said, “The re-structuring of Huntsville Fire and Rescue will better suit the growth of the Department. There continues to be structural changes to Huntsville Fire & Rescue in an effort to provide more efficient and effective services to meet the growing needs of our City.”
