Two People Injured In House Fire Accident

Huntsville, Alabama (May 29, 2007) Two people were injured in a house fire that occurred about 1:00 o’clock this morning. Huntsville Fire & Rescue responded to the fire that occurred at 2201 North Rose Drive. According to Investigators with the Department’s Bureau of Fire Prevention, 16-year-old Brianna Lynn Prince sustained 1st and 2nd degree burns to her lower legs. She was treated and released from Huntsville Hospital. Forty-two-year-old Lisa Gail Cooper sustained 2nd and 3rd degree burns to 90 percent of her body. She was treated at Huntsville Hospital and later transferred to the University of Alabama in Birmingham Burn Center. Cooper’s condition is listed as critical. The fire occurred on the deck of the home and, according to Investigators, was caused by the careless handling of an ignitable liquid near an ignition source.
