Green 13 Role Jerry Cargile serves on the Mayor Battle’s Green 13 Council on Economic Sustainability. Jerry is a Environment Team Member.
Work History/Profession
Jerry is President and Principal Engineer of 4Site, Incorporated, an interdisciplinary firm focusing on sustainable solutions for land planning and site design. They are the local ambassador and champion for the inaugural Green Cities Huntsville Summit and Green Cities Alabama. 4Site has been a driving force in generating forward motion on this issue and the sustainable building movement in the region. Aligning their mission with their passion to promote the science of sustainability, 4Site partners with others to build more sustainable sites and communities.
Background Information
Jerry is a registered professional engineer in AL, TN, and GA, and a LEED Accredited Professional. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama. He has been a partner in private engineering practice since 1995 when he was State Young Engineer of the Year for the Alabama Society of Professional Engineers. His design focus is on innovative approaches to low impact development and sustainable site design solutions. His project experience includes the site design for Raytheon’s local corporate headquarters, a LEED Silver Certified facility, the first in Cummings Research Park, and Catalyst MRP West, a LEED Gold pre-certified office complex in the City of Madison. A married father of three young boys, his personal mission is to leave them with a more sustainable future.

Randall Boyd

Green 13 Role
Randy Boyd serves on Mayor Battle’s Green 13 Council on the Built Environment subcommittee and works in matrix with the Energy Subcommittee. His role is to develop recommendations to the mayor for environmental issues related to buildings and related built environments, especially with regard to energy use issues.
Work History/Profession
Mr. Boyd works with Fuqua & Partners Architects, P.C. since 1997 doing architectural work and IT systems administration. He has worked with other engineering and technology companies doing Structural Engineering, Client support and development, Marketing and Training.
Background Information
Mr. Boyd holds a Master of Architecture ’86, from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana campus and specialized in structural engineering. He also holds a BS in Architectural studies from U of I. He is a self taught advocate of solar and other renewable energy technologies and on-site power generation. He is married.

Micah Bullard

Green 13 Role Micah Bullard serves on the Mayor Battle’s Green 13 Council on Economic Sustainability. Micah is a member of the Built Environment Team.
Work History/Profession
Turner Universal is the largest Green Builder in this area employing over 40 LEED® Accredited Professionals. Turner Universal built the first LEED Certified project in Huntsville which is rated Silver. Turner Universal is part of the Turner Corporation, the nation’s largest Green Builder according to Engineering News-Record magazine with over 300 LEED projects either ongoing or completed. Turner is a founding member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and a founding member of Huntsville’s chapter.
Background Information
Mr. Bullard has been in the construction industry for over 40 years and has built some of the most interesting and unique projects in America. He has been in Huntsville for 12 years and is Area Manager of Turner’s Huntsville operation.

Mark Harris

Work History/Profession
Mark has been involved with the development and construction of shopping centers, apartment complexes and other commercial buildings but his true love has always been building homes for people to call home. Mark has been building homes in Huntsville/Madison County since 1984. Mark began Mark Harris Homes in 2000 and has built his company’s reputation by providing innovative and up to date home designs and the latest in products and materials.
Background Information
Mark’s most recent commitment to be one of the leaders in the building industry is his decision to “Go Green”. Mark was the first builder in North Alabama to receive the National Association of Home Builders Green Builder Designation. He is also the current president of Huntsville Madison County Builders Asssociation. Mark Harris Homes is a team of professionals whose goal is to provide excellent craftsmanship and world class customer service.
