On December 9, 2005, graduates from the 47th Session of the Huntsville Police Academy took their last step at achieving their goals and became Huntsville Police Officers. Also included in the ceremony was an awards presentation. Officer Conner received a Life Saving Medal and Officer Chass Shannon received the Firearms and Overall Academic Award.
