Parents Arrested for Child Abuse Under Neglect Statute

Huntsville, Alabama (April 23, 2007) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department have charged two parents for Child Abuse under the Statute of Neglect. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said Clyde Boswell (DOB 2/4/1983) and the children’s mother Brandy Maxson (DOB 7/21/1984) have allegedly allowed their children to wonder in the parking lot on several occasions at 600 Apt #D Chateau. According to security personnel and neighbors the children have been seen outside frequently without adult supervision.  This morning, a vehicle almost hit one of the children ages 18 months and 2 and a half years old.

Police then called the Child Abuse Unit with DHR and determined that the living conditions in the apartment unit were not acceptable for the children. The parents were booked into the Madison County Metro Jail. The children are with DHR.
