Arrests Expected to Solve Series of B&E to Autos
Huntsville, Alabama (April 24, 2007) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s North Precinct have arrested a female juvenile and a 19-year male who may be responsible for a series of vehicle break-ins in South Huntsville. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said Darrius Ramone Chunn was arrested about 4:00 this morning after a brief car chase with Huntsville Police. When Officers stopped Chunn and his 17-year-old female companion, they discovered an assortment of property inside the vehicle that allegedly was stolen from parked vehicles over the past several weeks. Chunn has been charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering to an Automobile and booked into the Madison County Metro Jail. He’s being held on a $1,000 bond. The juvenile was taken to the Neaves Davis Center on similar charges. South Precinct Sgt. John Reed says they expect to solve a series of vehicle break-ins with the arrests. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
