Huntsville Police Charge Two In Construction Site Burglary

 

Huntsville, Alabama (May 23, 2007) Uniform Police Officers and Investigators from the West Precinct have recovered more than $10,000 dollars worth of stolen copper from a construction site burglary. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said 27-year-old Calvin Dwayne Frye of Decatur has been charged with Burglary 3^rd Degree and Theft of Property 1^st Degree and booked into the Madison County Metro Jail. A 16-year-old juvenile male was also charged and booked into the Neaves Davis Detention Center for Children on similar charges.

 

Johnson said the arrests occurred Tuesday night in connection with a burglary at a construction site on Odyssey Drive, in the Research Park area. Huntsville Police Officers have been conducting high intensity patrols in the area because of other recent burglaries. Additional charges could be pending as the investigation continues into other similar thefts in the area.
