Huntsville Woman Charged for Leaving Child in Car Alone

 

Huntsville, Alabama (May 31, 2007) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit have charged a woman for Leaving her 1-year-old daughter in the car alone. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said 21-year-old Amelia Brooke Coyle of Huntsville was charged on May 29th with Reckless Endangerment and booked into the Madison County Metro Jail.

 

Johnson said Police responded to Huntsville Hospital security on Tuesday afternoon about 2:30 p.m., after they discovered a vehicle in the parking lot with the windows rolled down. The infant was in the back seat inside a child restraint seat, but there was no one else inside the vehicle.  Investigators and DHR turned the child over to a family member. Johnson said the child was not injured. Coyle was also being held on several traffic warrants.
