Christmas Day Shooting Suspect wanted by Huntsville Police

Huntsville, Alabama (December 31, 2007) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit have a murder warrant for Julius Cortez Cawthorne, alias “Meatball”. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said Cawthorne, age 25, allegedly shot and killed 26-year-old Latransezon Malloy inside a convenience store on Christmas Day. Cawthorne is a black male, 5‘ 7” tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone who knows where Cawthorne can be located should contact Huntsville Police at 722-7100. He is armed and dangerous.
