Huntsville Police Continue Search for Suspect

 

Huntsville, Alabama (January 20, 2007) Huntsville Police continue to search for 19-year-old Montez Dewan Holt. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said Friday night about 10:00 p.m. Officers were attempting to serve a warrant on Holt when he fled in a vehicle. The pursuit ended near the City of Triana, where he jumped out of his car and fled on foot. Officers from Huntsville Police, assisted by Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Alabama State Troopers Aviation Unit searched throughout the night but were night successful in locating him.

 

Johnson said Holt is wanted on a felony warrant for Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle in a incident that occurred in Huntsville Monday night. He is also wanted for questioning in connection with a recent home invasion on Sparkman Drive that involved a shooting.

 

Johnson said Holt should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone having information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Huntsville Police Communications at 722-7100.
