Huntsville Police Investigate Shooting Outside Gas Station

 

Huntsville, Alabama (February 9, 2007) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit have released the name of a shooting victim late this afternoon. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said Ronnie Lee Cawthorn (DOB 6/2/1984) was shot multiple times while he was standing outside of a vehicle at the BP gas station located at 5990 Pulaski Pike near Winchester Road. Police were notified of the shooting at 1:15 p.m.

 

As police arrived, they noticed a vehicle speeding away. Officers stopped the vehicle and discovered Cawthorn’s body in the back seat. He had been shot multiple times. Police have not made an arrest.
