Suspect Arrested Minutes After Robbing Books-A-Million

 

Huntsville, Alabama (January 23, 2008) Huntsville Police from the North Precinct arrested a robbery suspect minutes after holding up Books-A-Million at 1001 North Memorial Parkway. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said 21-year-old Brandon Rashon McCants, of 628 Forrest Park Court entered the business before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night. He went behind the counter and physically assaulted the clerk before escaping with an undetermined amount of money. Officers chased him on foot and apprehended him at Beard Street and Popular Avenue. McCants was booked into the Madison County Metro jail on Robbery 1st degree. The cashier was treated at Huntsville Hospital for minor injuries.
