West Precinct Officers Make Arrests in Two Separate Robberies
Huntsville,
Alabama (January 25, 2008) Investigators with the Huntsville
Police Department’s West Precinct arrested a robbery suspect with his
assistance. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said on Thursday, January 24th
Investigators arrested and charged Steven Larvern Leamon of 3605
Williamsburg Drive with Robbery 1st degree and Possession of a
Forged Instrument 2nd degree. Johnson said Leamon was arrested
after attempting to check into the same Country Inn & Suites at 4880
University Drive; the same Inn he allegedly robbed December 20, 2007. Alert
employees recognized him and contacted Police when he used a forged Texas
driver’s license. He was booked in the Madison County Metro Jail.
In a
separate case, Johnson said three people were arrested for an overnight home
invasion style robbery on Thomas Road Thursday. A female suspect persuaded
the occupants of the residence to open the door, while two other suspects
rushed in at gunpoint and attempted to rob the occupants. A struggle took
place and the gun was taken away from the suspects. Officers from the West
Precinct arrived and arrested Frederick Paul Williams, age 48, of 3303 Bob
Wallace and Cindy Lynn Bridges, age 36, a transient. Twenty-seven-year-old
Kimyatta Gaines, also a transient fled the scene but was arrested later in
the day. All three suspects were charged with Robbery 1st degree
and booked into the Madison County Metro Jail.
