Huntsville Police Arrest Robbery Suspects Targeting Women

Huntsville, Alabama (February 6, 2008) On February 5, 2008, Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s South Precinct arrested and charged three individuals who targeted women walking alone by stealing their purses. The victims are 60, 80, and 84 years-old. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said Rebecca Terrell, age 42, Anthony Gilmer, age 45, and forty-one-year-old Robert Bradshaw Jr. have been charged with two counts of Robbery 2^nd degree and a single count of Theft 3^rd degree and booked into the Madison County Metro jail. The incidents occurred between January 31^st – February 6^th.  One woman was leaving Wal-mart at 2900 South Memorial Parkway, another victim was in the parking lot at Kroger’s located at 8404 South Memorial Parkway and the last woman was putting groceries in her car at Southern Family Market, 9020 Bailey Cove when the suspects stole her purse from the shopping cart.
