Burglary Suspect Recovering From Gunshot Wounds

Huntsville, Alabama (February 29, 2008) A burglary suspect who was shot several times by a home owner is recovering in a local hospital, but faces several charges by Huntsville Police. Spokesman Wendell Johnson said they are still trying to verify the name of the suspect now known as 36-year-old Marvin Horton. The suspect allegedly broke into three separate houses last night in the 2700 block of Ninth Avenue. The suspect broke into the first house and struggled with two juveniles before he was shot several times by the mother. He then broke into another house and finally a third where he was held by a home owner until police arrived. Johnson said Investigators expect him to be released from the hospital within the next few days. He faces multiple charges and will be booked into the Madison County Metro Jail upon his release from the hospital.
