Huntsville Police Charge 32 with DUI Memorial Day Weekend
Huntsville, Alabama (May 30, 2008) Huntsville Police and the DUI Task Force arrested 32 people for DUI over the Memorial Day weekend. Task Force supervisor Sgt. Floyd Smith said 22 of the arrests occurred Friday and Saturday when the Unit set up checkpoints. At least 158 people were issued citations for not wearing seat belts, driving without a valid license, or proof of insurance and other traffic violations. There were no traffic fatalities in Huntsville during the holiday that started Friday, May 23rd through Monday, May 26th.
