HPD Arrest Murder Suspect

 

Huntsville, Alabama, (February 17, 2009) On February 17, 2009, Investigators from the Major Crimes Unit of the Huntsville Police Department arrested Tavares Fletcher, 28 years-of –age, of  Huntsville, and charged him with Capital Murder.

 

This incident was a result of the murder of Jerome Edward Richard that took place on August 8, 2008, at the Regions Bank located at 2511 South Memorial Parkway. Investigators advised that Fletcher was currently being held in the metro jail as a result of an earlier Attempted Murder charge stemming from the shooting at the Huntsville Gymnastic Center on Leeman Ferry Road that occurred on January 27, 2009.
