Huntsville, Alabama
(February 18, 2009) The Huntsville
Police Department’s Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Unit is currently
investigating several incidents of concern in the Southeast Huntsville area. On
February 5, 2009, a resident reported that a male had exposed himself to her 6
year-old daughter. On February 13, a 10 year-old female was approached by an
unknown male who made a sexually explicit comment. These incidents appear to be
related to another incident which occurred in July, 2008, where a male exposed
himself to a child. The physical description of the suspect is consistent in all
three cases: a white male; early 30’s to 50’s; receded or bald on top, with
thick or streaked hair on the sides; no eyeglasses or facial hair. The suspect
vehicles are a silver, 4-door car, possibly a Honda, and green pickup truck or
small SUV-type vehicle.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Huntsville Police Department (722-7100) or call 911. Anyone with information concerning previous incidents should call the Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Unit at 213-4538.
