Murdered Woman Identified, Second Suspect in Jail
October 20, 2005 (Huntsville, Alabama) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and with the assistance of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department have arrested and charged 41-year-old Curtis Anderson, of 113 Joyce Drive, Hazelgreen, with Murder. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said the body of a woman found in West Huntsville yesterday about 7:30 has been identified as 37-year-old Tonya Peavy. Her address is also listed as 113 Joyce Drive. Investigators are calling the murder domestic related.
Johnson said two murders are separate incidents and are not related. Yesterday morning Huntsville Police charged 22-year-old Demitrius Hope with the murder of 36-year-old Michelle Bradshaw. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said Bradshaw’s body was found about 3:30 this morning at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 2nd Street. Both women had been shot to death. Curtis Anderson and Demitrius Hope remain in the Madison County Metro Jail.
