Two Teenagers Arrested And Charged with Capital Murder
Huntsville, Alabama (November 8, 2006) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit have made arrests in the October 8th shooting death of 17-year-old Laquinton Leslie. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said Leslie was killed with a high-powered rifle near the intersection of Brenda Street and Ford Place last month.
Johnson said following an extensive
investigation, Brandon Garth and Steven Langford, both 17-years-old have
been arrested and charged with Capital Murder. They are being held in the
Madison County Jail without bond. Johnson said under Alabama law, there is
no bond set for Capital Murder charges, therefore both Garth and Langford
will remain behinds bars until their trial. The investigation is ongoing,
and Sgt. Ed Cain would like to speak with anyone who may have additional
information concerning the murder of Laquinton Leslie. Sgt. Ed Cain, with
