Female Juvenile Faces Four
Charges in Robbery
December 2, 2005 (Huntsville, Alabama) The 15-year-old female who led Huntsville Police on a car chase last night is currently in the Huntsville Hospital. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said the female is being treated for a pre-existing medical condition unrelated to yesterday’s incident.
Johnson said she allegedly walked into a Wavaho gas station at 3105 Drake Avenue to purchase some cigars about 9:00 p.m. When the clerk refused, she allegedly pulled a knife from her purse and robbed the clerk of cash, cigars, the clerk’s car keys and vehicle. Police responded and chased her across town and ended up at the police administration building at 815 Wheeler Ave. Johnson said the juvenile was arrested this morning and booked into the D-home on Robbery 1st Degree and Theft 1st Degree. Petitions with the D-Home have been made for Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. A hearing will be held next week pending her release from the hospital.
