Huntsville Police Crack Home Burglary Ring

Huntsville, Alabama (February 6, 2006) An Investigator with the Huntsville Police Department’s North Precinct has ended a rash of home burglaries that have occurred over the past two months. Last Friday afternoon, he spotted three teenagers walking down the street with gym shoes and pillowcases of suspected stolen property. Upon further questioning, Investigator Charles Harvey discovered these were the suspects who have been breaking into homes in the Cedar Point and Rolling Hills area. Two other individuals were later picked up for questioning. The three juveniles and two 18 year olds were taking clothes, jewelry and electronic equipment and selling the items on the street. 

Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said the case is ongoing but the five were charged with various counts of Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property. The Department would not release the names of the juveniles who were taken to the Juvenile Detention Home. Jason Martez White and Clarence Larry Harris, both 18-years-old were booked into the Madison County Metro Jail.
