Huntsville Man Charged With The Murder of 19-year-old

Huntsville, Alabama (March 28, 2006) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit have charged 22-year-old James Ford (10-25-84) with Murder. Police spokesman Wendell Johnson says Ford was allegedly inside the home of James Hambrick (6-26-89) at 2200 B Brahan shortly before noon today. As Hambrick approached the outside of his residence, Ford allegedly shot Hambrick in the face through a glass window.

Johnson said Ford fled the scene but was picked up by Huntsville Police later. He was booked into the Madison County Metro Jail. Investigators have not revealed if they have found the murder weapon, but they did impound a vehicle Ford was driving when he left the scene. Johnson said Investigators are considering this case to be domestic related since both men were involved with the same woman. Police would not identify that woman. No bond has been set as of Tuesday afternoon.
