Tickets Still Available For Seniors Crime Academy Breakfast
Huntsville, Alabama (June 12, 2006) The 2nd Annual Aunt Eunice Pancake breakfast to raise money for the Seniors Crime Prevention Academy will be held on Saturday, June 17th from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The Pancake fundraiser will be held at Applebee’s Restaurant located at 3150 North Parkway.
Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said in the past 11 years, over 600 seniors have graduated from the program. It’s designed to show seniors how to avoid becoming victims of con games, scams and identity theft. The Better Business Bureau, The Madison County District Attorney’s Office, The Sheriff’s Department, HEMSI, Huntsville Fire and Rescue and the Huntsville Police Department are just a few of the sponsors. The money raised during this fundraiser pays the cost of holding classes that are free to seniors. The next Academy starts August 24, 2006.
