Two Juveniles Plead Guilty To Multiple Burglaries

Huntsville, Alabama (June 23, 2006) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s North Precinct have arrested two juveniles they say are responsible for over $70-thousand dollars worth of damage and stolen property.

Investigator Jerry Trew said the 15 and 16-year-old boys plead guilty in juvenile court to 8 felony burglaries, but Trew says they confessed to 25 home burglaries. The homes are located on Brookline, Shady Lane and Nelson Drive in North Huntsville. Trew says the boys’ crime spree ended Thursday night when a homeowner decided to stay home after being burglarized once before. When the boys broke into his home, he called Huntsville Police who caught the juveniles. They have been sentenced to the Department of Youth Services.  Much of the stolen property has been returned to the owners.
