Shooting Death of 8-year-old Remains Under Investigation

Huntsville, Alabama (October 4, 2005) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit aren’t releasing much information this evening following the shooting of an 8-year-old boy.  Police spokesman Wendell Johnson said authorities arrived at Bonnell Drive #16, about 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. (Hillside Village Apartments).  The juvenile had been shot to death.  Johnson said apparently the 8-year-old boy and another 14-year-old boy were playing with a weapon when it discharged. The Department has not released the names of the juveniles, because the case remains under investigation.
