17-year-old Lee High Student Charged with Making A Terrorist Threat

Huntsville, Alabama (April 20, 2005) Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s North Precinct have charged a student with Making a Terrorist Threat. According to Police spokesman Wendell Johnson, Lee High School students notified School Resource Officers that the 17-year-old had allegedly threatened to kill another student. The Officers picked him up this morning for questioning and based upon their investigation, the threat was taken seriously.
Johnson said there were no weapons found and students and teachers were not in immediate danger. The student was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing on the felony charge.
