The Public Safety Chaplain Unit consists of local ministers who volunteer their time to the members of HPD and to the citizens of Huntsville. The purpose of this Unit is to provide a variety of services based upon the Chaplains' individual skills and training.
The Chaplains ride with officers on patrol and are on call to assist in those cases where officers feel their assistance and counsel may be helpful.
