To report a wastewater emergency during normal business hours, call WPC at (256) 883-3719.

After normal business hours, call the Huntsville Police Department at (256) 722-7100.

Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, except on City-observed holidays.

What IS a wastewater emergency?

• sewage overflowing from a manhole or pipe

• visibly broken or damaged pipe or access manhole

• cover missing from a manhole

• alarm sounding/ light flashing at a wastewater pumping station or grinder pump

• pipe damaged while digging

What IS NOT a wastewater emergency?

• slow-draining bathtub
  (this is usually caused by blockage in the "lateral" pipe on private property, and is the owner's responsibility - call a plumber for assistance)

• water seen leaking from a potable water (drinking water) supply pipe

• billing questions - call (256) 883-3719 during normal business hours

• creek or surface flooding
