The
Water Pollution Control Department (WPC) has
a key role in keeping our community's
waterways clean and safe. WPC is
responsible for removing pollutants from the
wastewater ("sewage") we all generate in our
daily lives at home, in schools, and in
our businesses and industries.
Each
year, WPC purifies literally billions of
gallons of our communitys wastewater, and
returns the clean reclaimed water to our
waterways.
In
short, WPC recycles water.
Removing pollutants from wastewater is part
of the job. Getting the wastewater to a WPC
facility for treatment is equally
important. WPC is committed to doing both
jobs reliably and efficiently. Working with
the US EPA, WPC has implemented
CMOM programs
which are further improving our system
The WPC
website is designed to show you more about
who we are, what we do, and how we protect
your water. We hope that you enjoy your
visit. |
